Businessmen attempt to buy Park Street Church.

The group wants to demolish it and build an office building on the site. A public outcry follows and a committee is formed to preserve the church. The group of businessmen fail to meet a condition of the purchase agreement, and an announcement is made that the building will remain preserved in April 1903.
